4 Online Tools to Keep Your Kids Stimulated This Summer

Looking for ways to keep your children educationally stimulated this summer?

When I was in grade school I hated when my mom tried to keep me “sharp” during the summer breaks. I had to read the newspaper every day and pick 3 articles to summarize and then write a couple of my own news articles. It always felt like work and I hated it. I would have loved for that work to be fun! Luckily with where we are in the digital world right now, this is possible! There are so many great resources out there that allow kids to keep their brains active and their creative juices flowing while they’re out of school.

Here are our 4 favourite tools:

MyStorybook

MyStorybook provides children with a space for them to express their creativity and share their own stories with each other. ParaPara Editor

ParaPara Editor is a great website where kids can create their own stop motion animations for free. It provides kids with a blank canvas for them to express all their creativity. Once they have put together a few screens, they can click the play button and watch their animation come to life. Once they are done their whole project, they can save or send their animation by email.

FunBrain is a website where kids can play educational video games, from math to spelling. This will provide children with an activity that’ll feel like a treat but will help exercise their brains!
